My daughter played this for me this afternoon.  I guess one of her friends reblogged it.  It’s too funny not to share it again so I went looking for the link. Hope it makes you smile.

A dramatic reading of some girl on facebook

hey vixxey, I did it

the last minute or so is great IMO

It’s Everyone’s Holiday.

Enough with the Happy Holidays vs Merry Christmas baloney.  It’s all over facebook and all over blogs.  It’s all over the newspapers too. (Interspersed with front page tales of Black Friday violence and bruhaha, of course.  )  I feel so despondent when I see this old argument flare.  It’s so shallow an exercise in a time when energies could be so much better spent on each other.   The holidays we celebrate TOGETHER despite our varied beliefs and backgrounds are not intended by ANY diety or ANY philosophy to be treated as no more than an attention seeking contest.   To take offense at the kind greeting “Happy Holidays” in any circumstance just seems akin to a childish tantrum to me.    Please, everyone just try to grow up and remember that the holiday, in all it’s manifestations is intended to celebrate and encourage, if only for a moment.. two precious things:  Peace on earth and good will toward everyone.  Close the year with love and a smile and pay that forward to the next year.. in honor of whomever you choose to honor.. even if it’s simply to honor yourself or all of humankind.

Yep, Ms. Vicki, you’re a wise, wise woman.
